In dust and ashes, sinner knelt.
A soul in anguish, torment felt,
Beneath the weight of sins confessed,
in heavy robes, by guilt oppressed.
His Job-like eyes undamming streams
from countless years of twisted dreams.
Beseeching God, for mercy plead
from depths of darkness; all to bleed.
Upon his brow, the mark of shame;
the sickness scars, a branded name.
Yet still he sought redemption’s light,
among the shadows of the night.
With trembling hands, he clasped the earth.
Made solemn vow to prove his worth.
To rise anew, from depths below,
and cleanse his soul in fiery glow.
As days of old, in trials bore,
so wept this man, where spirits soar.
But in the furnace of despair,
he found the strength to kneel in prayer.
The thunder rolled, the tempest raged,
yet in his heart, a fire engaged.
For in the depths of his great plight,
he caught a glimpse of heaven’s Light.
Through trials dire, found release;
In humble plea, he found his peace.
In deepest dirt, redemption lies,
and from the darkness, faith shall rise.
Now all ye sinners, heed the call
to kneel before the King of all.
For in the ashes and the dust
salvation waits. Repent, we must.
