In a glass darkly, my reflection viewed.
Behold, a sinner gazing back at me.
In darkened mind, where crimson sins accrue,
A shadow soul, veiled in known secrecy.
Mine eyes, twin portals to vast abyss,
Reveal the depths of anguish, dark and deep.
A tempest whirls, a maelstrom of remiss,
Within this temple, where secrets I keep.
Each line etched upon this visage worn
Tells thought and deed, both pure and profane.
A haunted countenance, by guilt adorned.
In silent screams, my soul bears the stain.
O, wretched glass, what truths you impart.
A sinner’s face. The mirror, my heart.
